Tools - Settings - View - File/folder list - Tab Mouse shortcuts


Under "Tools → Settings → View → File/folder list" in the tab "Mouse shortcuts" the following settings are offered:

It can be defined what happens, if a mouse action (double click, right mouse click, middle mouse click) is activated at a defined position in a panel.

Clicking the field Function in the row behind the name of a Click position opens a selection list with functions.


By double click on free space

The following functions are offered, to define what happens after double clicking in the free space of a panel:

  • Do nothing
    No action is carried out.
  • Go to parent folder
    The files and folders of the parent folder are listed in the panel.
  • Refresh the list
    The list in the panel is refreshed.
  • Select all files
    All files in the panel are refreshed (highlighted).
  • Select all items
    All items (files and folders) in the panel are refreshed (highlighted).

The following functions are offered, to define what happens after a right click and/or a middle click in the free space of a panel:

  • No function selected (empty field)
    Clicking the right mouse button opens the context menu. Clicking the middle mouse button causes no action.
  • Go to parent folder
    The files and folders of the parent folder are listed in the panel.
  • Refresh the list
    The list in the panel is refreshed.
  • Select all files
    All files in the panel are refreshed (highlighted).
  • Select all items
    All items (files and folders) in the panel are refreshed (highlighted).
  • Toggle selection
    All selected items will be unselected. All unselected items will be selected.

For these click positions can be defined separately what happens after a right click and/or a middle click:

In each case the following functions are available.

  • No function selected (empty field)
    Clicking the right mouse button opens the context menu. Clicking the middle mouse button causes no action.
  • Focus item
    This function focuses the file in the list. If it was not selected, it is selected and the selection of all previously selected files is removed.
  • Focus item - thumbnails view
    This function focuses the file in the thumbnails view.
  • Select item
    This function focuses the file. If the file was previously selected, the selection is removed. If the file was previously not selected, it is selected and the selection of all previously selected files is removed.
  • Rename
    Opens the rename dialog for the file that was clicked.
  • Open
    Opens the file with the windows open function.
  • Open in internal viewer
    Opens the file according to the settings in the menu item "Tools → Settings → Programs" in the tab "Viewers".
  • Open in editor
    Opens the file according to the settings in the menu item "Tools → Settings → Programs" in the tab "Editors"
  • Copy name to clipboard
    Copies the file name with file extension to the clipboard.
  • Copy name without extension to clipboard
    Copies the file name without file extension to the clipboard.
  • Copy full path to clipboard
    Copies the full path of the file to the clipboard.
