Move file results in making Directory

#1 Post by Gertjan » 30.06.2008, 09:13

I want to add something strange here.
When i moved a file using shortcut F6, i finally noticed FreeCommander had created a Directory instead of a File. I couldn't changed in anymore to a file. and i had to delete it.
I tried the new FreeCommander until i came across this problem. I already had second thoughts about the new subwindow of allowing a new name and location. But this i could overcome.
By the Way i used default surgestion of that window, so i entered.

I hope someone can confirm this, because the new changes i like a lot. For now i don't use it, because i find it a most critical error. But i keep monitor this forum for a while now.

Can't confirm, but there was a similar bug, fixed in one of the beta versions, I'm not sure if it's also in the last official version.

Try the default settings, no plugins. If you can reproduce it, then try to refresh the view - if it's related to the other bug, it should be changed back to file.

I don't use it anymore. For my work it's to important to work correctly.
Refresh didn't work. I did open the Windows Explorer, there was also a directory.
