Fast choice in search results

Hi,
In the new version "XE", i haven't found a small but useful function.
In previous versions (2009.02B and before) after getting a long list of found files, i was able to easily select the desired file selecting one at random and then starting to type the correct name. It was very useful.
Would it be possible to implement it in the new version?

Confirmed, search-as-you-type doesn't work in the new version (672), it works good in old version 2009.x. I think I have reported it already, but I can't find the topic.
