Nested archive handling

#1 Post by wrbird » 25.10.2013, 21:14

Nested archive handling doesn't work in FCXE, or am I doing something wrong? It worked great in 2009b.

Could you maybe write more exactly what you mean. Some examples?

I have a zip file with it's contents being a folder with subfolders and additional zip files in it. The zip file can be found here (I don't know how to attach a file).

When I click on the on the zip file it lists a generic white rectangular icon with the name of the zipped folder next to it. When I click on that name nothing happens. In 2009b instead of listing a generic icon, it shows a folder icon. When I click on that folder icon it opens that folder and shows all of its contents. I can go as deep as there are folders.

I can make a recording of the steps if needed.

Marek,

I also e-mailed you video of the difference between 2009b and XE, using the same zip file I sent you. XE is definitely not working right. The XE video shows that the top level archive will open, but it won't open the folder, like 2009b does. Also the unzip function is screwy. It won't unzip unless unpack in subfolder is checked. You didn't need to do this in 2009b. But then even when it unpacked it, there was no other files or folders in.

I'm curious what you find.
