I'm entirely new to Free Commander. I'm using the beta 0.0.0.609, and have two questions:
1. Is there any way to get some spacing between the icons on the toolbar? I'm used to file viewers that have spacing between the various icons; the way they are now looks a bit cluttered, and is a bit distracting.
2. How can I set a particular partition/folder as the default view for the right-pane? I looked in the options, but didn't see this.
Actually a third question: would I be better off at this point using the older version? I really am not a power user; I just want a few features and want it running without freezing.... just wondering.
What I've seen from the beta looks good; it starts quickly and doesn't freeze up, so I'm pretty optimistic at this point...

Re: Spacing between icons and default right-pane view
I got (2) taken care of by the Start Program section on the left side of the Options dialog.
I still would like the first question taken care of, however.

Re: Spacing between icons and default right-pane view
1. Right click the toolbar, "customize action toolbars", select a desired toolbar, "standard" for example, and increase the "button" size option, the icon size will be the same, but the "buttons" will be larger, actually it's something like spacing.
3. There are many users (incl. me) who use FC XE for more than a year without problems, so I can say the XE version is stable for normal users.
