570 - Hot Zone in Bread Crumbs

#1 Post by ebeb » 20.01.2012, 13:18

Hi,

I love the bread crumb path bar. However, this bar provides two features:
1.) Bread crumb navigation
2.) Editing the path
This is great but doesn't work great. The bread crumb navigation for one folder is available when hovering over it but this works only on the lower half of the path bar / the path string. When the mouse just one pixel too high but still within the height of a character of the path string, the bread crumbs are deactivated. Now, if I click, I get directly into editing mode.

This happens VERY often because you quickly hover up to the bar use bread crumbs and than *ZAP* you're in editing mode.

I would suggest using the full height of the bar for bread crumbs and right click (which has currently no action assigned) to active editing mode.

By the way, I'm running FC on WinXP.

Regards,

/J

This annoys me too, but I didn't know how to put it in words! :)

Thanks!

Hey Marek,

I would have never thought that this is actually a feature! What is it for? Should definitely be disabled by default similar to the auto-resizing name column in list view which should not be resizing itself by default.

Anyways, thanks for the quick reply!
