back-forward behavior

In the stable release, folder history works just as expected (hitting "back" brings you to the previous folder). In the new beta I've found that it doesn't anymore. Now it seems to follows this path:

F1
|_F2
|_F3

1) I'm in folder 1, I go to folder two
2) hit "back", I'm back to folder 1, then go to folder 3
3) hit "back" again, and I would expect to be back in folder 1, instead it brings me to folder 2.

Is this the intended behavior? Can I switch back to the "old style" in that case?
