Mouse Side Buttons don't work any more

#1 Post by Rouven » 31.10.2009, 15:48

hi,

i'm new here. my name is rouven and i'm from germany.

freecommander is a very nice filemanager, but since a few days, i can not navigate forward and back with my mouse side buttons.

it's a new installed system with windows 7. i did the install last week. when it was installed new, the side buttons worked perfect.

i'm using a MX600 mouse from logitech (combined with an keyboard MX3000). logitechs setpoint is running on my system.

in freecommander are the default hotkeys for the forward/backward-navigation active (alt+left, alt+right). i tried this hotkeys in the setpoint software, but freecommander doesn't make anything by using the side buttons.

i'm running freecommander 2009.2. should be the newest, or isn't it?

i think, the bug comes from freecommander, because in all my other software, the buttons are working fine.

i hope somebody can help me with this probem. life is very hard without these buttons.

thx

today, i found out, that the problem comes from the setpoint software. when i close setpoint, the forward/backward-buttons are working in freecommander.

a few minutes ago, i startet setpoint with admin rights. it seems like that was the cause of the problem.
