Renaming a file in FC will not rename it in Explorer

I have renamed a filename in FC but to my surprize, the name was not automatically changed in Explorer (VISTA). How come ?? isn't FC an alternative to Explorer ? cant I use FC in place of Explorer ?

Strange. Try to refresh Explorer window (F5). When you exit and restart FC the file is renamed?

yes I have restarted my computer many times since then and also FC. Now I have different names on the same files in FC and Explorer !! under such conditions FC is not so usefull

Very strange, but FC is working good, it must be another problem, Explorer issue, or virus??
