Formatting a SanDisk

#1 Post by jmyeakley » 07.04.2009, 03:34

I somehow fouled up the formatting on my 16 GB sandisk to 30 KB. On the SanDisk website I found a referance to Free Commander formatting a USB stick. If Free Commander can do this I can't find the way. Any suggestions?

Free Commander is a lot like the DOS program STS also called Stereo Shell. It was one of my favorites.

You don't need FreeCommander to format your disk. To format a disk just right click the letter of that disk in drive bar and select "Format". Be careful when formatting any disk, double check if it's the correct one!

I had tried to format with a right click. I ran into the same problem that Windows would not give me the option for size or type. I did a google search on something like 'format san disk usb' and the first thing I saw was a program by HP that did the job splendidly. No more problem. Thanks for your reply.
