The short handy list of volumes that shows up in FreeCommander when user clicks the icon located on the left edge of the Address Bar is in not displayed properly, because it lacks information about remaining free space on each of them:
This is happening to me in Build 946 64-bit Donor Portable and Build 941 32-bit Public Installed on Windows 10 IOT Enterprise LTSC 21H2 x64 (19044.6691) - but it is not occurring in Build 912 64-bit Donor Portable with the same settings being used:
So in never version I do not get to see the count of remaining free space on volumes, while on old one I do see it
And I can also add, that this older Build 912 on my previous system Windows 10 Enterprise 20H2 x64 (10.0.19042) was also sometimes stopping displaying those counts during a FreeCommander session - but back then it could be fixed by simply closing and re-opening of FreeCommander, while now this jump-start trick in 946 and 941 does not work anymore
And also I can add, that this apparently has nothing to do with the hyphen sign being present in names of the volumes, because I have tested out changing their names in the Disk Management - which presence of >>-<< was evoking an older bug concerning this handy list of volumes: viewtopic.php?t=11675
Volumes list is not showing counts of remaining free space
Re: Volumes list is not showing counts of remaining free space
What about the option "Show free space (drive button)" in Settings - View - Drives - General, is it enabled?
Re: Volumes list is not showing counts of remaining free space
Unfortunately it is. And that is why these INI files of mine work correctly in that older Build
I just now I have tested out the option of
Tools > Settings > View > Drives > General > Show drives as popup button
and it seems to fix the things i.e. both this single bar drop-down list displays volumes with sizes and the list available under the icon - but only until closure of FreeCommander. Because when I re-open FC, the sizes once more are not shown
And it seems that it is not this option itself, but the mere act of switching between it and the
Tools > Settings > View > Drives > General > Show drives as button bar
that I normally use. Because I can start with any of them and end up with any of them (as long as I click the Apply button after each switch) i.e. I can start with
Show drives as button bar, switch to Show drives as popup button, execute Apply, switch back, execute again - and its fixed; but again only until the end of session
