FreeCommander color settings are not saved
FreeCommander color settings are not saved
In reference to the color for the inactive file window: I would like to have a different color than the one for the active window to make it easier to distinguish between them. When I change the color, click the Apply button, close FreeCommander, and re-start the program, everything remains the same, i.e., the inactive window is white again.
Re: FreeCommander color settings are not saved
If any color scheme is active and you change some colors in Settings - the color scheme should be saved too.
It's advisable to save the color scheme under a separate name to prevent it from being overwritten during an update.
If you use both light and dark color schemes, then of course both should be saved under separate names.

Re: FreeCommander color settings are not saved
Thanks for the reply. I have not used color schemes at all and had a hard time finding them. I find the relationship between color schemes and settings somewhat confusing, as I do between 'Save Settings' and 'Back up all settings...' If change a color scheme, will that overwrite my settings? Are color schemes also saved if i back up all settings?
I ultimately reinstalled the program, changed the color for the inactive window in the settings and tested it a couple of times. The setting is now saved.

Most of them use different color for inactive panel, both, dark and light versions.
Yes, but if you change the color scheme, dialog is shown "Your current color scheme was saved as 'MyDefaultColorScheme'", so you can get it back.
You can use also the previous settings from auto backup.
Color scheme is saved, if you change it first time, but the color are saved with the settings, until use change a color scheme.
Of course, you can save your modified color scheme any time.
