Toolbar positions won't save

#1 Post by GeoJono » 23.10.2008, 23:28

Hello. I searched for this, but didn't find it at a glance.

Is there a way to make the toolbar order and positions stay where I place them? I set them up the way I want them, but when I relaunch the application, the order has changed.

By the way, I'm using the portable version of 2008.06c on a Vista computer. I've tried launching it from the local drive and from a USB thumb drive, both with the same results.

Thanks.

Try to check the rows
ToolBar2048Left=
ToolBar2048Top=
in the freecommander.ini. If you see on the right negative values, then change the lines to
ToolBar2048Left=11
ToolBar2048Top=2

Thanks for the reply Marek. Here's what I have for those settings.

ToolBar2048Left=747
ToolBar2048Top=28

Neither are negative. Do you know of any other ideas? Are these numbers too high? Thanks.

This is still an issue for me. I changed the values of ToolBar2048Left and ToolBar2048Top to 11 and 2 per the above suggestion despite the fact that neither value was negative, but this did not resolve anything.

Is this just a problem with the portable version? Is anyone else having the same issue?

Thanks for any help you can give on this.

Is this something that I could manually change in the .ini file? Meaning, can I use the settings in the .ini file to set the toolbar positions?

Could you send me your freecommander.ini file? The right location of the ini file you can see under Help->About.

Thanks Marek. How do I attach a file in here, or should I send it another way?

You can send a privat message and paste the content of the ini file or you can send a email to marek at freecommander dot com.
