it should be a whole easier & faster to toggle between different sorts/views eg treating folders as file names

it is quite ridiculuous that you have to dig down into SETTINGS to change this!

Options "Sort folders like files" and "Sort folders like file - except for name" are available as toolbar buttons and keyboard shortcuts.

So, if that is the case, WHY is that not mentioned in Manual?
Where the ONLY reference (i see) is to set in SETTINGS.
(i was going to say 'as attached', but of course i can't do that. )

Sorry, I see NO suchToobar Buttons.
(what i pity i can't show you a screen shot - so much easier and faster for all of us.)
And why would there be keyboard shortcuts INSTEAD?

Right click on Toolbar, or use menu "Tools"
> define action tollbars
Use Search field on the bottom right side with "sort"
> All "Sort folders ..." Commands are available

They have no icons, so if you want to use them you can give them an icon of your choice with the Details sign ".."

I had a typo in my reply, it should be "Sort folders like files".

"Sort folders like files" and other options are available also in the right click - context menu on free space, it's also in online help, here:

BTW Option "Sort folders like files" has icon, just the other option doesn't.

To add those actions as toolbar buttons, just check the previous post, you can use quick filter to find it easily, the same way you can create a custom keyboard shortcut for that action, command - menu - Tools - Define keyboard shortcuts.

now i know that i have to ADD to Toolbar.
Context Menu does not show.

Just find empty space and right click - Sort by.
