My default drag and drop behaviour has changed to 'create sh

My default drag and drop behaviour has changed to 'create shortcut'. I was creating a shortcut the other day, which I rarely do, so I must have messed something up. It's the dragging from FreeCommander that's the issue - as well as doing this between panes in FC, it does it if I drag from FC to Explorer, but if I drag from Explorer to FC the behaviour is as expected, i.e. copy between drives or move on the same drive. For now I have enabled the left menu drop popup confirmation menu as a stopgap. Any ideas?

Hmm... try to hold Ctrl while dragging, or just press and release Alt. If nothing helps, close FC, rename freecommander.ini file and start FC.

Well I wanted a permanent reversion rather than a workaround, so I went with renaming the ini straight away. It worked. In a process of elimination I started pasting back bits of the old ini, until it was all there, and it still worked! As confirmation I was able to rename the original ini back to its original name and it still worked fine! I guess starting it once without the ini must have had some effect outwith the contents of the ini file itself.
