Printing and FTP
I am considering FC for use on our corporate network and am left with two question. CAn you print out the contents of a particular folder view? Secondly we do not want staff to use FTP for security reason. Can this feature be disable via some means?

1. You can use the feature "Make folder list" in menu > Folder and then print the text file.Chris Newman wrote:CAn you print out the contents of a particular folder view? Secondly we do not want staff to use FTP for security reason. Can this feature be disable via some means?
2. If they could access the FTP with FreeCommander, they could find another way, even if it would be possible to block it in FreeCommander. There are portable FTP clients, which don't need installation, admin rights, so anyone can run it from USB drive, or download it.
There are other ways to disable FTP. If the network is protected by a firewall, it should be possible to use that. As Dreamer has said, if anyone wants to use an FTP client, they will find one. Simply having the ability built into Free Commander doesn't mean that they will use it. Where I work, I use FC a lot, but none of my co-workers knows where to find it or what to do with it if they did. Anything beyond a desktop icon is rocket science. I never leave an FTP tab open anyway, just in case of accidents (what's this? click-click).
Perhaps the .ini option to disable FTP completely would help a bit, not something like "ftp=0" (because it would be very easy to find), but a bit hidden option, perhaps "fcon=0", don't know. But again, if someone wants to use the FTP, if he knows there is a FTP server and if he knows the address, no FreeCommander option would help to prevent this person to use the FTP (with another program).
