In FC 947 the new feature was implemented
Implemented: New options in "Settings->File/folder operations->Rename/Create" for the function "Create new text file"
However it does NOT work with "Edit a new file (Shift + F4)"
They both used the same entry window before 947 and they should be the same now.
New function not consistent for new text file
Re: 948 - New function not consistent for new text file
Release 948 did NOT fix the new name suggestion for create & edit a new text file Shift+F4.
It does work for create a new text file Ctl+Shift+N.
The change log said:
Changed: "Edit a new file (Shift + F4)" - use the same settings as for the function "Create new text file (Ctrl+Shift+N)"

Re: New function not consistent for new text file
Could you please write which settings you have defined for "Create new text file" and what does not work with Shift+F4.
Re: New function not consistent for new text file
Marek:
Settings Page: File/Folder operations Tab: Rename/Create
----------------------------------------------------------
Create new text file (Ctrl+Shift+N)
Name suggestion: New-File
Extension suggestion: txt
---------------------------------------------------------
If I use Ctrl+Shift+N the string "New-File" appears in the dropdown list.
If I use Shift+F4 the string "New-File" does NOT appear in the dropdown list.
In the past these two functions operated identically. They should continue to do so.

Re: New function not consistent for new text file
Problem confirmed.
Shift-F4 doesn't show the configured entry.
