946 (Portable) - I no longer have "press enter to run"

Hi, I updated to 946 last night, and found that "pressing enter to run" no longer worked. I downgraded back to 945 and it worked.

Could you provide more detailed description what you do, what does not work?

I run FC... I use the arrow keys to cursor down to any MP4 file... I press ENTER... it does not open/run/play...

When I overwrite with 945, I arrow down... press ENTER... and the MP4 plays... (this is Windows 10).

I should also mention that I use "mpv.exe" to run the MP4 files...

Why should FC be responsible for this dialog ?
When you press enter on a local file it should start without any dialog.

You have defined mpv.exe for all files (filter is *) for external viewer.
External viewer shortcut is Shift+F3.
I think, you shold define mpv.exe in the tab "Default action" with the filter "*.mp4".

Please re-read the 1st command:

(under v945 portable)
When I press ENTER on a .TXT file, notepad opens the txt file with no issues.
When I press ENTER on a .MP4 file, mpv open the mp4 file with no issues.

(under v946 portable)
When I press ENTER on a .TXT file, notepad opens the txt file with no issues.
When I press ENTER on a .MP4 file, NOTHING opens.

And, I did try the "default" tab, same 946 problem...

I also tried both:

--no-input-default-bindings %ActivSel%
--no-input-default-bindings %ActivDir%\%ActivItem%

Same 946 problem.

CORRECTION: When I tried 945 with the "Default action" configured, MPV would not load MP4 files. Once I disabled the "Default action" then 945 works.

One other note... I have configured "External Viewer" as CTRL ENTER...

And, in 946, when I press CTRL ENTER then the MP4 loads up in MPV.EXE just fine.

What happened to my "ENTER" in 946 ???

Wow, it was weird... when I started a new instance with default settings, I got:

- pressing ENTER on a TXT file would open in Notepad
- pressing ENTER on an MP4 file would do nothing
- pressing ENTER on a .TS file (a video) would open in Notepad (and look a mess)

I guess I'll just stay with v945.

It appears, with v946, that I have to now specify all movie extensions in "Default action" (see https://postimg.cc/qtD67ZVq)... what I would really like is for FC to just use whatever Windows 10 has associated and run the file with that (notepad.exe with txt, mpv.exe with mp4, etc).

It is only freecommander.ini file.
No problem if I use the settings with 946.
The shortcuts file (freecommander.shc) would be important.
Try it: close FC, rename freecommander.shc, start FC, check ENTER.
