New folder with selection - keyboard shortcut

#1 Post by freenylon » 19.01.2024, 00:46

I want to map 'New folder with selection' to a shortcut key, but it doesn't appear in the 'Define Keyboard Shortcuts' command list.

Am I missing something?

"New folder" is F7.
What you mean with "'New folder with selection'"?

If you want to use the name from selected item, use F7 and Down arrow key, for using the current date/time, use Down arrow 2x, or 3x.

Hi Karol. You don't seem to know of the "New folder with selection" feature.

Select a few files, right-click them, and choose "New folder with selection" from the context menu.

You will then see a new folder called "New folder with items" containing the items you selected.

It's neat.
Sweet.
Petite.

Could you provide some screenshot with the item "New folder with selection" ?
I think, I do not have such item.

Your "New folder with selection" is not the FreeCommander command, it is from some other program.
That is the reason why it does not appear in the command list in FreeCommander.
