Turn off OneDrive status icons

I need to turn off the OneDrive icons that are superimposed on filenames (ticks, etc.).

I've searched for how to do this but haven't come up with anything I can get to work.

You mean probably overlay symbols.
OneDrive icons are shown in own columns and have no overlays.
Overlay icons can be shown by other software, e.g. Subversion.
