See the setting attached. Once enabled, there's flickering after you open FC or after a while.

It appears the UI isn't ready yet to draw it's elements. Perhaps connected to this bug: viewtopic.php?t=14087

I can't record a gif of this because as soon as I do with sharex, it stops flickering and starts again.

It doesn't matter the file type.

Only way to stop it from flickering is to disable the option - After open file - set focus to quick viewer
