Choose your own DOS Box

#1 Post by jpaugh » 07.10.2008, 22:29

The "DOS Box" feature should allow an alternative DOS box program to be chosen in the settings dialog. It would fit very nicely under the View --> DOS Prompt heading, though it has little to do with the "view" of the DOS box.

You can define it in the freecommander.ini in the [Form] section, for example:
DosCommandBoxSpec=cmd.exe

Are you sure about this? I just closed FC, added DosCommandBoxSpec=C:\Progra~1\JPSoft\TCCLE9\tcc.exe to my [Form] area, re-opened FC and the commands still launch CMD...

I am using FC 2009.02

EDIT - Oh, I see from another thread... only uses this when you use CTRL+D, not when you type a command at the bottom... shame...
