841 - Thumbnails view - "Draw caption without clipping" vs tooltip issue

#1 Post by Dreamer » 06.02.2021, 16:30

To reproduce:
- use default settings
- use "Draw caption without clipping" option
- rename two image files to "1 Very very very very very very very very very very very very long filename test" and "2 Very very very very very very very very very very very very long filename test"
- some image files must be after these 2 files, e.g. "a", "b", "c"
- use thumnbails view
- go up and back to the same folder with these test images
- focus should be on [..] item
- now move a mouse cursor over the first image, so that it will show the tooltip with whole name
- move a cursor to second image, so that it will show the tooltip with whole name
- move a cursor to the other panel
= file names of the first 2 images are fully shown and cover the thumbnails below
- press down arrow to go to 3rd image
= file names of the first 2 images are still fully shown and cover the thumbnails below

This way any number of thumbnails may cover the other thumbnails.

Issue is fixed, if I move a cursor over the thumbnails below those 2 images.

In 8413 if "Draw caption without clipping" is active the Y-Spacing is calculated dynamically.

Thanks, it fixed the bug.

BTW I know I started to use this option for some reason, you suggested it to me, but I can't find why, probably the name of the focused item was not fully visible? It is fully visible now, so it's better to not use that option, to have more thumbnails.
