file selection tools ignores selected files

trying to select files using same extension does not work if the hot tracking is on another filetype.

previously, the file selection commands would follow selected file and ignore the hot tracking.

selected PDF, used ALT,NUM+ to select same extension, but it selected hot tracking item instead.




using v.830 beta

Can't confirm in 830 beta 32-bit public.

Are you using NC-mode?

Anyway, in any mode FOCUSED item is important, not selected, nor hot track.

E.g. If NC-Mode is disabled and you select pdf file, then use Ctrl+down arrow and focus exe file, this exe file is focused.
If NC-Mode is enabled, select pdf, use down arrow to go to exe file, now exe is focused too.

Multiple files can be selected, so selection can't be used, focused file must be used, only 1 item can be focused.

i've tried with both NC mode and regular.

I used the mouse to select the file and then used alt,num+ to select additional of the same extension, but it doesn't select any more files.

I can't try to reproduce it, because you are using custom color scheme and .

Anyway, it looks the [..] item is FOCUSED, dwg file is selected - mouse cursor is over the dwg file, so this is "hot track".

Try it with default settings, command line parameters, or portable version - your current installation will be preserved.

Try to provide exact steps to reproduce, how you clicked the dwg file - left clicked it once?

Are you using one of the options "By click on ..."? If so, file is just selected if you click the extension, NOT FOCUSED, it's a feature, not bug.

EDIT: BTW try default white or default dark color scheme, here you can find which item is selected/focused/hot item:

With NC-Mode different colors are used in Dark grey flat default scheme, for selection it's red text and no background.

I can not reproduce it too.
Maybe you settings files would help.
