Modify location and path of ShortCut-file

#1 Post by dr-schwarz » 21.08.2008, 11:17

Is there a way to change the path and location of the ShortCut-File from

"...C:/DOKUME~1/ADMINI~1/LOKALE~1/Temp/FreeCommander2628/fc_ShortCuts_de.htm"

to C:\Programme\freeCommander2006 ?

In the registry and freeCommander.ini I did not find a hint to do so.

Thank you!

Right click on the file - the question was "Is there a way to change the path and location of the ShortCut-File...".

There is a misunderstanding -- I had thought at first too, that it was a problem with a shortcut -- a .lnk file -- but dr-schwarz wants to move a Free Commander configuration file from his "personal" directory to Free Commander's.

In the Settings dialog, you can set where the INI file loads from, but I don't know if that affects anything else. All of my FC files are in its own home folder. I did not use the installer, but unzipped it and dropped it where it is. That might make a difference.

FC config file (all setttings) will be moved to another location. The new location will be saved to fcStart.ini file.
