Windows 10 problem?
Windows own File Explorer opens f.e. jpg files just fine
but FreeCommander asks "Keep using this app?" and the answer do not stick.
Any solutions?

Re: "Keep using this app?" do not stick
I had such dialogs occasionally, but it's OK now. FC 812 donor 64-bit, Windows 10 1909 64-bit.
Which is your FC, OS versions? First try to upgrade FC to latest version - 812 donor, or 810a public.

I had the same problem, for some reason free commander doesn't use Windows settings for some file extensions like .jpg or .png (but it does for others).
The solution is to open the settings menu and add the default action for the typical image extensions. You can open the menu with F12, and add the extensions under "Programs" > "Default action" (for example, *.png;*.jpg;*.jpeg;*.gif;*.ico;*.psd;*.tiff).
It is all well explained in the manual as well, have a look at it:

I hope that helps, the more I use this program the more I can't do without it
