Splitter bar button DIRECTION arrows showing & missing

FreeCommander XE 2017 Build 740 64-bit donor

When copying or moving files, having the splitter bar button arrows that SWITCH direction depending on what pane is active is very helpful. The arrows are shown on my Windows 7 computer, but not on my Windows 10 computer. Why is this, please? Thank you.

Strange, please download the latest version and try to use default settings, if needed.

I got it. When using small icons, arrows are missing.

Right click the splitter bar, select "Customize toolbar..." > click the "Splitter" item and enable the option "Use big icons". Button size 32.
