can`t rename folders or files in portables

Hi

I really enjoy the free commander
However i have a few problems when managing files of portable devices - a sony mp3 player
I can access the device and view the files but when trying to rename the folder or a file i get this message:

No such interface supported

The second problem is when i double click on a file to play it it gets copied somewhere first and then plays
it`s annoying especially when Multicommander allows me to play the files without copying it first
Multicommander also allows me to rename the folders and files but doesn`t seem to support moving and copying from portable devices between panels.

I don`t want to go back and forth between these two applications
Please help me sort out the renaming problem at least
