[Solved] Favorite tools - fit window for small screens

#1 Post by user8899 » 18.07.2013, 00:40

Hi.

One quick simple to implement suggestion that will make netbook and other small screen users very happy.

The Define favorite toolbars window by default wastes too much vertical space and doesn't fit the 1024x600 and 800x600 resolutions. The OK and Cancel buttons are way off the screen and inaccessible.

Also, resizing the window doesn't work when FC was launched on a screen too small for it's config windows.
The resized window in this case is indeed changing size, but the controls inside it aren't moving. They stay in the same place on the screen just as they appeared when opening the window for the first time.

Can you trim the unused space in that window and make it fit 600-pixel height screens by default?

Or maybe making the whole window scrollable when it's too small for its content. I imagine a scrollbox of some kind, where you could put all the controls but said buttons.
Allthough the default window height should still be adjusted respectively.

Thank you.
Regards.

Changed for the release 630. Additionally the size and the location of the window is saved.

God, you're awesome! =D

Thank you very much.

PS. Should I now mark the topic as "resolved" or something? I am new to the forum.

It's not needed. When the new version will be released, then you can check it and confirm it's resolved. Then you can also add a prefix to the topic if you want, but it's not necessary.
