Maintain User data between updates?

#1 Post by mr » 12.02.2011, 17:49

Is there a way to maintain our settings and locked tabs when updating the XE beta?
I saved a copy of C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\FreeCommanderXE\FreeCommander.ini and restored it after running the latest version (from the zip install), but my settings don't show up. I see you also added FreeCommander.wcx.ini.
Thanks.

Edit: I see that the ini file is now in the same dir as the .exe.
Also, can we have the orange icon back for the task switcher? I've been running the beta and 2009a, so the orange icon was helpful to differentiate with alt-tab.
Thx.

I just found my taskbar icon changed from orange to blue when I updated to version 0.628. I cannot find the FcIconNr= switch in the ini file as suggested in old Forum entries.
Any suggestions on how to get the orange icon back on the taskbar?

Just write FcIconNr=2 in the [Form] section of you freecommander.ini

My settings are saved in the FC XE install folder (Settings subfolder), I'm using portable version and it works good, all settings incl. locked tabs are saved correctly.
