Right-Click on QuickView Button to enter QuickView Settings

#1 Post by BGM » 14.10.2012, 06:18

I was just thinking how nice it would be if I could right-click on the QuickView button in my splitter bar and jump right to the settings for the QuickView.

Right now, right-clicking on anything in the splitter bar opens a menu with a "settings..." link to View settings, which although there is no mention of the Splitter Bar in the panel (it should probably be in the Title bar at least), it does lead to the settings for the splitter bar.

Maybe simply adding a link in that context menu to "QuickView" settings.

You know, if you have opened Quick View, you can simply right click on the title bar of the Quick view.

Yeah, I know the button is in the quickview toolbar. But that involves making sure your selection is on a file that is quickviewable - if you don't have your plugins configured right, you can end up losing time with the runaround if certain extensions are not configured right. For example, if I quickview a pdf document, I get an IE error page and the pdf opens in an external Adobe Reader. If I had direct access to the settings, it would be easier to configure the quickviewer (IMHO).

But I don't blame you if you don't really want to implement something like that. Sometimes our feature requests can be things too localized to the requestor!
