594 - quickviewer not using plugins anymore

since 594? the quickviewer does not use the plugins anymore - every other possibility (text, binary, internet...) is working.
Even forcing the use of plugins by the context menu only leads to a blank viewer panel.
The normal viewer (F3) uses the plugins without any problem.
