594 Freezes after closing the Settings menu

#1 Post by joby_toss » 02.06.2012, 08:59

FC XE 594 (portable) on Win7x64sp1

FC freezes after I close the Settings menu:
1. Extras
2. Settings
3. Cancel or OK

XE is unusable for about 1 minute (frozen and then grayed out and Not Responding appears in the title bar). It also flickers and the taskbar button order is changed (FC becomes last after being first, like I close and then reopened it).

Anyone else?

Can't confirm with Vista 32 bit, just have a small delay when opening the settings (about a second).

I've just sent Marek my .ini file and a short video demo.

Thanks for checking!

My experience is the same as Dreamer's: a slight delay before the Settings dialog appears (which is the same as previous versions, I think), but no delay after closing Settings. (Win7 64)

Have you tried to start release 594 with empty freecommander.ini?

Yes, it works fine with a new .ini file. It was some setting of mine that caused this.

I'll get back to you if it happens again. Thanks!
