Can't reproduce with 590, Vista.

win7x64, reset settings, then changed as shown in previous screen shot.
-> issue 100% reproducible.

The hot spot on the picture is the hot spot from Tree > Splitter hot spot visible,
not from Viewer > Splitter hot spot visible!

the "Splitter hot spot visible" checkbox in Settings\Viewer turns on/off the quick viewer hot spot, see:

the issue is 100% reproducible by using the settings from the initial post.

Ok, on switching off and on the viewer I also can reproduce it.
Unchecking the box for "Splitter hot spot visible" at viewer-settings and clicking "apply" makes the hot spot disappear.
With switching off and on the viewer the hot spot is visible again without changed settings.

Win 7-64, FCXE 590
