However, it's not easy to find other keyboard shortcuts than Alt+ and in other languages Alt menu shortcuts could be different, use any letter, so all Alt+ shortcuts would be unusable.

Workaround - you can just click Alt, release Alt and press F, to get menu item File.

Please check the Settings - View - File/folder list - Mouse shortcuts - Click with right mouse button. It should be empty for showing context menu. It's a standard Windows behavior, same in Windows File Explorer.
