View - View style |
If the cursor is over the menu item "View → View style" a sub menu is opened, where one of the following view styles can be selected:
- Gradient - System
- Gradient - MS Office
- Gradient - Custom
- Windows XP
- Classic
The selected style is used for the FreeCommander main window only. The following parts of the main window have there own color definitions and have to be defined individually:
Gradient - Custom

If the cursor is over the menu item "Gradient - Custom" of the the menu "View style", to sub menu items are shown:
- Custom style
Clicking the menu item "Gradient - Custom" activates the style configured under the sub menu item "Define...". - Define...
Clicking the menu item "Define..." opens the dialog "Custom style", where view style "Gradient - Custom" can be defined.
Custom style - tab General
In the tab "General" of the dialog "Custom style" the following colors can be defined for everything but the menus:
- Gradient start
Activating the button "Gradient start" opens a pop up menu with the following menu items: - Background color
After clicking this menu item a background color can be chosen from a color selection pop up. The "Esc" key cancels the color selection. - Selection color
After clicking this menu item a selection color can be chosen from a color selection pop up. The "Esc" key cancels the color selection. - Background gray, ..., Background brown
Clicking one of these menu items (background colors) selects a background color directly. - Selection gray, ..., Selection violet
Clicking one of these menu items (selection colors) selects a selection color directly. - Gradient stop
Activating the button "Gradient stop" opens a pop up menu with the selection and handling options described under "Gradient start". - Font
After activating the button "Font" a font color can be chosen from a color selection pop up. The "Esc" key cancels the font color selection. - Border
After activating the button "Border" a border color can be chosen from a color selection pop up. The "Esc" key cancels the border color selection. - Gradient direction
After activating the button "Gradient direction" one of the gradient directions shown above can be selected from a pop up menu.
Custom style - tab Menu
In the tab "Menu" of the dialog "Custom style" the following colors can be defined for the menus:
- Gradient start
Activating the button "Gradient start" opens a pop up menu with the following menu items: - Background color
After clicking this menu item a background color can be chosen from a color selection pop up. The "Esc" key cancels the color selection. - Selection color
After clicking this menu item a selection color can be chosen from a color selection pop up. The "Esc" key cancels the color selection. - Background gray, ..., Background brown
