Transfer type

Type

The following transfer types can be selected:

• Auto detect
  Auto detect uses ASCII transfer for the file types listed in the following field. Binary is used for all other file types.
• Binary
  Binary transfer always works. But it is slower than ASCII transfer.
• ASCII
  ASCII transfer is faster than binary transfer. But is does not work for all files.

Auto detect use ASCII for the following file extensions

The transfer type "Auto detect" uses ASCII transfer for files whose extension is listed in this field.

All other settings in the tab "Transfer" should only be used by users with a profound knowledge in FTP.
