Disable selecting on both panes

I have the same directory open on both panes, and when I click (or double click) a folder on one pane it does the same on the other. How can I disable this so that it only does it for the current pane?

Edit: The problem occurred when I added a 3rd folder tab.

Maybe you activated Linked browsing (under Folder menu).
