Some kind of brain event...
For some reason, my file sizes are showing up as KB or MB or GB, when I want to see actual number of bytes. The file size column heading shows "size auto", but because I can't get HELP to work I don't know if this is a setting I need to change somewhere and if so what is that setting.
I simply want to see file size in bytes, same as I remember this always was. Hopefully this is possible. What did I screw up or break?
What do I need to do to get back to bytes, please?
Can I see file sizes in BYTES, like used to be the case?
Re: Can I see file sizes in BYTES, like used to be the case?
Ok... just found the answer myself, looking at another install environment on another machine where this DOES display in bytes.
Turns out it's squirreled away in Column Profiles, and I have to get into settings for the default profile, uncheck the "size auto" column, check the "size bytes" column, and then MOVE UP the new column to where the old column used to be.
Case closed.
