635: Refresh issue on Windows XP

before the update to 635, scrolling windows in XP was smooth, now the display flickers like it's doing a refresh, but there's no change to the files or folders in the window.

Altering the 'refresh' options in the file/folder list has no effect on the flicker.

This seems to be only affecting my XP machine, it's fine on Windows 7.
