6201 - Request - Option to lock tree width when sizing

#1 Post by lordawe » 17.05.2013, 00:51

I would like to request an option to "lock" or not resize the tree when the splitter bar is used to expand the file contents window.

Here's the reason:

I normally work with two horizontally split views both with trees. Occasionally, due to long file names the file window is not wide enough to see the entire file name or certain columns. When I resize the view with the splitter bar, the tree view resizes as well. In many cases, this causes the file window to still be too small and I have to use the splitter bar again to see my complete file name and attributes.

SOLVED This Myself.
This option is already available under "Auto resize for main splitter changes". Noticed this option with Mareks latest update. Once I turn this option off, works as I want. Funny that no-one seemed to know this.

Update on Portable version: I just downloaded the latest portable version with the "Auto resize for main splitter changes" option. Yes, it works to save the tree width when closing and opening the app. But, simply minimizing the windows overrides the setting. Upon window maximization, the tree width resets back to the original width.
