Performance problem with "Search files/folder"

I am having a problem with working on a results list with a larger number (3000) of files found. Any following action has a very long response time, including a longer running "no response" ("Keine Rückmeldung") message in between.

My Win 7 PC is brand new (i5-3570) with 8 GB memory.

Exactly - which action? I see no problems with 13000 items in the result output.

After having selected all files with Ctrl-A, it hangs when trying to open the "Edit" function in the menu bar. And then again, when selecting the "Copy" command form that menu.

I experience the same on a Notebook with similar HW equipment.
