When inserting a new file in a directory (using right-click; new; eg. "Text document") the name is rejected when using a "." (dot) in a filename.
For example, insert a Text document in the "new file window from FC" you insert "test v12.1.01" as file name.
This results in a new text document named "test v12.1.TXT" (everything after the last "." (.1) is ingored)
("test v12.1" results in "test v12.TXT")
Same issue with other types of files...
New file command issue when "." in filename
Re: New file command issue when "." in filename
Confirmed in FC XE 615.
If we create text file with the same name "test v12.1.01" using Windows, not FC XE, file name is correct. Under FC XE filename is truncated to "test v12.1"
