Right pane now loads Settings folder

#1 Post by prr » 27.01.2013, 00:13

I decided to backup my FC settings, and now whenever I open up FC, the right pane shows the settings folder. I went into the Start program option, and my D partition is in fact set up to show in the right pane, when FC starts up.

Any suggestions?

Clarification: the right pane simply loads whatever is selected in the tree on the left pane. Closing out the program will simply have FC restart with whatever folder view was visible when it was closed.

As I understand this, he uses only one panel and its tree, so that setting should be used for the left panel. There is no right panel.

Dreamer was correct--the setting I have is nothing in the left panel (tree), and my D partition in the right panel.

I did make the change that you recommended (D partition in left panel, nothing in right). What I get now, is two tabs in the right pane when I open up FC: one that gives me the D partition, the other that gives me the folder that was opened when FC was closed.

I really don't like tabs with a file explorer; that's what I have the tree for. How do I eliminate that additional tab?

I've tried unchecking the save settings on exit option (for about the fourth time since I installed it yesterday--not sure why that check magically reappears) but the problem still persists.

Open settings > view > folder tabs > [v] close all not locked tabs when the program ends, you can enable also the option below this one "[v] close all tabs with UNC...". Then make sure the tab you don't want is not locked.

Also disable the option "[ ] always keep one tab opened".

I think you can try D:\ for both panels too, there might be a problem if you set only one panel, it looks you are using only one panel - the other is invisible / disabled, right?

Thanks, Dreamer, that did it.

Disabling the "always keep one tab opened" option worked.

The other two options were already enabled.

Yes, I have disabled the other panel.
