613 - Icons issues

In 612 the icons for favorite tools toolbar had a white border when I used not white background, in 613 this issue is partially fixed, some icons still have small white border or few white dots, but the icons look much worse as in 612, please check this screenshot:



Hope you can see it, if not, I'll send more icons.

I don't know if it's possible to improve it, if not, I think it was better in 612, I'd have to disable the background effects, but with the option to separate the toolbar effects - gradient, it would be almost perfect.

Favorite tools menu has a nice effect, it's darker (possibly using my custom colors), but it has the same problem either, icons are looking strange and some have a white border too.

You culd try to use native size icons 32x32:
- save the favorite tools configuration with 613
- go to freecommander.fav.ini
- search the lines with "BigIconsSize=24" and change to "BigIconsSize=32"

I think this size should be used by default if "use big icons" option is used, definitely.

What about small Favorite tools menu icons? Here is the screenshot - they was probably OK also in older XE versions, not just in old 2009 version:

Sadly, this does'nt bring a solution for me. The horizontal lines are still gone and the icons are still wrecked. If I change the settings to 32, the icons are looking better, but in version 611 they looked great with BigIconsSize=24...

The icons are broken now even when using larger size 32. Only with build 615.

In 618 the icons are OK, expect the Aimp icon - but it's probably the icon issue...

...Anyway, the small icons (size 24) look bad, still.

OK, so I found a bug when using big icons and the reason why just one icon looked bad here:

- use "BigIconsSize=32" in ini
- use big icons
- 39 button size
- select any program, exe file in the Program field, e.g. D:\Programs\AIMP\AIMP3.exe
- click OK
= icon looks good

- now copy the program path to the Icon - File, e.g. D:\Programs\AIMP\AIMP3.exe
- icon must be visible in the Icon field
- click OK
= icon looks bad

I think the reason is, that wrong size (small) of the icon from the exe file is chosen.

When using BigIconsSize=24, all icons look bad always, so probably the reason is, that the wrong icon - size is chosen from the exe file, smaller icon is chosen and it's enlarged to bigger size (or larger to smaller size).

The problem is visible only when using custom style, gradient start/stop (white/grey colors e.g.) and gradient direction Horizontal center.

Perhaps the big icons size should be changed from 24x24 to 32x32 by default, because the program looks bad with those broken icons - not all users are able to change the size in the ini file.
