Synchronicity
Synchronicity
I have 5 different folders on my computer that I want to keep synchronized with folders on my portable USB drive. Is there any way to do this all at once with Free Commander?

Can't do that. Folders like my profile folder are difficult to move or change. I tried changing my profile folder location in the registry so that it was in a common folder with other things I wanted to save, but that caused problems so I changed it back. My favorites folder and home document folder and such are in a common location but there are certain things that can't be moved from the profile folder. I could put my common folder into my profile folder but I have a lot of references to my common folder and it would be a lot of work to change its location.
One of the great things about Free Commander is that I can easily synchronize different folders on different machines with folders on my USB drive. This is superior to the Microsoft Briefcase because, in order to synchronize different machines with a USB drive, I need to put the briefcase on the individual computers and the main folders on the USB. This causes problems from time to time when copying files on the computers.
I just think that if some sort of batch capability could be included in Free Commander, perhaps with a command line switch, there are many people who would find it a useful feature. Perhaps something like:
FreeCommander.exe /sync [sync folder 1] [sync folder 2] -additional switches for sync options. . .
then a batch file could be created with one line per sync folder pair which would perform a synchronization of all folders with one click.
It would also be nice if Free Commander would use the Shadow Copy service when doing synchronization, so that open files could be copied. This would be a great help when copying the profile folder, where several files are always locked and can only be copied when logged in as a different user.
