Swedish translation is not working, Svenska.lng is binary

I'm using version 2007.10, Windows XP SP2

Problem description
Switching to Swedish translation shows German translation texts.
Using any other language seems to work fine.

Expected
Menus and translation in swedish

Possible problem
The translation file in lng\Svenska.lng is binary.

I have just checked and it`s the same here, the Svenska.lng is a binary file in the 2007.10 release, but not in .298

it looks compressed to me ?

In the current language pack is OK http://www.freecommander.com/fc_languages.htm.
