I am using public release version 550. In addition I have Win7 Home Premium 64 bit
I use a tree view with folders in the left panel and folder contents in the right panel. If I right click on any file in the right panel, I get an error window (actually two windows); the first with the heading FreeCommander.exe says "The directory name is invalid", and this is then followed by another window with the heading FcContextMenu64 saying "This program is used internally by FreeCommander". In the left panel, right click behaves as expected.
Any solution to this?
problem with right click
Re: problem with right click
A quick follow up to my own post!
If I press Windows key+right click, I get the expected result. Why would doing this correct the problem?

Re: problem with right click
FC has an additional program for showing 64 bit context menu FcContextMenu64. The program does not runs properly on your PC.
You can use 32 bit context menu if you define ShowContextMenu64Bit=0 in the freecommander.ini: http://www.freecommander.com/fc_logchanges_en.htm.

Re: problem with right click
Thanks for your reply.
I assume this means that I just add these two lines to the [Form] section of the freecommander.ini file.
ShowContextMenu64Bit=1
AutoCloseTimeContextMenu64Bit=10

Re: problem with right click
I think, you need the line
ShowContextMenu64Bit=0
ShowContextMenu64Bit=0
Re: problem with right click
That is strange since I added the two lines in my previous post, and now right click works as expected.
The section you referred me to says this:
New: 64 bit context menu will be showed on Windows 64 (XP, Vista, 7)
You can now control 64 bit context menu with the following line in the freecommander.ini:
[Form]
ShowContextMenu64Bit=1
AutoCloseTimeContextMenu64Bit=10
Since I have Win 7 64 bit, I thought that this was what I was supposed to enter.
That same reference you gave me goes on to say:
For calling 32 bit context menu use LeftWin+RightClick
- If you prefer to see for right click always 32 bit context menu: define ShowContextMenu64Bit=0; with LeftWin+RightClick you can call then 64 bit context menu
So are you saying that what I get now is the 64 bit context menu?
I am confused as to which setting is correct.
Your help is appreciated.
