Help with Quick View

I'm trying to view a .doc file using quick view. Every time I click on the quick view icon on the splitter bar it wants to download the file (as if I'm trying to download it from the internet). How do I set the options for quick view?

When I view the file using File Viewer I have to always load the plugin and always set the viewer to view using plugins (settings never get saved). So I can eventual view the file using the File Viewer. How do I make the settings saved so I don't have to go through this process all the time and how do I set the options so the quick view will using the plugins?
