Quick View - Windows media player and alternate association

Hi All. I have a question that i need help on.
In the quick view mode, when i click the *.mp4 file windows media player starts up and for some reason it plays the sound of the movie but no picture. Is that a bug or am i doing something wrong? I have latest media player v 11 and updated windows xp to sp3. If that is not possible how may i associate "quick time" instead of WMP to play the file as a default player. Thanks for your help. I have the same question. The win media player only has sound no picture displayed.
